Area Sales Manager, Italian Sporting Goods Manufacturer
Having unsuccessfully tried to recruit an Area Sales Manager for their German and Austrian businesses, an Italian sporting goods manufacturer with a global presence approached us to help them make this key appointment.
We had to find an individual who not only had thorough product and market knowledge but also experience in selling complex products. The successful candidate also needed to possess good communication and negotiation skills, be customer-focused and able to lead a 10-strong team.
Together with the client, we developed a tailored strategy, targeting our extensive candidate database. After carrying out preliminary interviews, we arrived at a shortlist of suitably qualified individuals within six weeks.
The person chosen for the role is now firmly settled into the role, looking after the markets for which he is responsible.
