Assignment

One of the world’s premier reinsurance groups tasked us finding a new head for one of their new product lines. We were selected as a result of our capacity to operate internationally. The challenge was to discreetly identify outstanding individuals within a niche industry sector, in which specialists could be based in North America, Asia, the UK or Continental Europe.

Solution

We offered a targeted international search, drawing on the knowledge of consultants in many different countries and regions. A shortlist of six candidates was presented to the client within six weeks, including candidates from three different financial centres. The market mapping carried out by our research team gave the client reassurance that the search had been the most comprehensive possible.

Result

Our client moved rapidly to interview the shortlist and to appoint a London-based candidate who was happy to relocate. The experience of Hays Executive in handling international assignments ensured that the formalities of negotiation and appointment were carried out seamlessly. The appointed candidate was in place barely six months since we took on the assignment.
