One of largest emerging international trading companies approached us to search for the Country Head to start up their Italian branch.
The company’s General Manager met three recruiters in Italy and chose Hays because of the specific expertise in the market and the global approach to the task (advertising, head hunting and networking). The target list included small privately owned trading companies as well as national as well as the trade desks of international banks.
Solution
Hays Executive identified five potential candidates, with both technical knowledge and management skills. The interviews were took place in our Milan office and the General Manager met all the candidates giving immediate feedback about them to the Hays manager. One of the candidates met the client directly in their country, showing strong motivation and flexibility.
Result
We supported the negotiation between the chosen candidate and the client. The candidate successfully launched the Milan branch, asking us to help him find suitable candidates for the new office. The whole process took two months.
