As well as partnering major established industry multinationals such as Philips, ASML and Stork, we also collaborate with smaller companies.

There is a concentration of companies in the chemical sector situated in the Rotterdam Botlek area (Shell and other multinationals), but also sites and activities in other regions (DSM, SABIC and AkzoNobel).

The Dutch industry is export-led and demand from abroad comes from a range of products, including chemicals, consumer electronics, semiconductors, metals, machinery, automotive, moulding, packaging, construction and food technology.

Product innovation (sustainability) and process efficiency are important drivers to boost competitive advantage. Qualified individuals with technical, sales, managerial and international experience are still hard to find.
