A global trading company asked us to search for an international trader. Market knowledge was very important and candidates needed to be able to make use of their international network, matching trade flows and opportunities worldwide. Experience in economics or agricultural business and a strong track record in commodity sales were required.

Solution

Our research team identified the competitors who are active in the commodities trading market and in cooperation with the client some other relevant industries were identified to expand the search for relevant candidates. Priority levels were given to the different target companies.

Result

The person who was offered the job had the necessary level of experience in commodity trading. A contract with a performance related bonus was offered.
