Assignment

Hays Executive was asked to recruit a plant manager / managing director to manage and reorganise the European facility for the Dutch production site for a major operating holding company with a turnover of over four billion euros. We were selected because of our track record in the production and industry sector.

Solution

Given the profile of the job role, a highly proactive executive search methodology was adopted. Operating on a retained basis a hybrid approach of executive search was undertaken. Assisted by the in house research team, 20 target organisations were identified and selected plant managers approached. The responses were screened and suitable qualified candidates were interviewed.

Result

A selected shortlist consisting of five qualified candidates was provided to the client within six weeks. After a series of interviews, the client offered the job to one of the shortlisted candidates. We completed several verbal references and assisted in finalising the contracts. The final candidate accepted the offer and is currently very successful in managing the production site. He reorganised the Dutch company and has been instrumental in motivating management and staff.
