Assignment

The local Belgian production unit of a machinery manufacturer and distributor, part of an international holding group, asked us to search for a Financial Director. This key person would be responsible for the financial and administrative management of the Belgian site and supervise the financial management of some international offices.

 

Solution

We had to find a candidate with financial reporting experience at both a local mid-sized company and international level. Given the salary parameters, we decided at the outset to expand the direct search approach with an advertised search, opting for specialist trade press. Within a timeframe of five weeks, we produced a shortlist of six relevant candidates.

 

Result

The shortlist of five professionals resulted in three candidates who had many meetings with local and international managers. The final candidate signed his contract 10 weeks after we had embarked on the recruitment process.

Mission

Notre client fabrique et commercialise des machines et des pièces pour une large variété d’applications industrielles. Le site de production belge, rattaché à une holding internationale, nous a sollicités pour recruter un Directeur Financier responsable de la politique financière et administrative du site belge et de la supervision de plusieurs sites à l’étranger.

 

Enjeu

La gestion administrative et financière d’une entreprise de taille moyenne faisant l’objet d’un reporting à l’international a été le critère essentiel à considérer parmi les compétences requises pour le profil à recruter. Compte tenu du salaire peu élevé par rapport aux responsabilités, il nous a semblé opportun d’associer à notre recherche d’approche directe une annonce dans un support spécialisé. Cette méthode nous a permis d’identifier en cinq semaines six candidats potentiels auxquels nous avons su valoriser les atouts de l’entreprise et ses opportunités de développement.

Résultat

Parmi la sélection de candidats, trois candidats ont participé à l’intégralité du processus de recrutement et réalisé des entretiens avec le management local et international. Le candidat finalement retenu a signé son contrat dix semaines seulement après l’ouverture de la mission.

Opdracht

Onze opdrachtgever vervaardigt en commercialiseert machines en onderdelen voor een zeer uitéénlopend pallet aan industriële toepassingen. De lokale Belgische productievestiging, rapporterend aan een internationale holding, verzocht ons op zoek te gaan naar een Financieel Directeur die het financieel-administratief beleid zou uitstippelen voor de Belgische vestiging en enkele buitenlandse vestigingen zou superviseren in hetzelfde vakgebied.

Oplossing

Een belangrijk aandachtspunt, m.n. ervaring in een middelgrote onderneming en toch internationaal rapporterend, bracht ons snel tot het bepalen van de gepaste target group. Vermits het salarispakket eerder beperkt was maar de verantwoordelijkheden toch vrij ruim, leek het ons gepast om direct search onmiddellijk te combineren met een advertentie in een gespecialiseerd medium. Dit leverde ons op een tijdspanne van vijf weken, zes valabele kandidaten op die we, als ‘ambassadeur’ van onze klant, tevens konden overtuigen van de sterktes en de opportuniteiten van dit bedrijf.

Resultaat

Uit de shortlist van vijf waardevolle kandidaten, doorliepen drie kandidaten quasi de hele procedure waarin diverse gesprekken met lokaal en internationaal management. De finaal gekozen kandidaat ondertekende zijn voorstel op tien weken na de opstart van de zoektocht.
